Tick for iOS

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 17, 2026

Summary

Tick stores your lists, todos, reminders, and images in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. We do not operate our own servers and have no access to your data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.

Information we don't collect

iCloud sync and sharing

Your lists, todos, reminders, notes, priorities, and attached images are synced across your devices using Apple's CloudKit service. This data lives in your private iCloud container. We (Taphive) cannot read, access, or decrypt it.

When you share a list with another iCloud user, Apple's CloudKit sharing infrastructure manages the shared data. Participants can see the shared list's contents — including todo text, reminders, notes, and images — as part of the collaboration. You control who has access and can stop sharing at any time.

iCloud is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Notifications and location

Tick can schedule local notifications for date-based and location-based reminders. These are handled entirely by iOS on your device. Location data used for geofence reminders is processed locally and is never sent to us or any third party.

Local storage on your device

Tick stores the following data locally on your device:

You can delete all local data by deleting the app from your device. iCloud data can be managed in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.

Children

Tick is safe for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children either. The app is compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date above. Since the app doesn't collect anything, we don't expect meaningful changes.
